Baby Shower Games

Baby showers can be fun and exciting not only for the mom-to-be but for the guests as well. Part of making the experience successful is by thoughtful party planning and having fun baby shower games. Here are some ideas for baby shower games… Enjoy!

Big Belly Race - This is an excellent couples or co-ed shower idea!!
Blow up some balloons, have all the men in the room (or women) put one under their shirts, and then have a "RACE" to see which one of them can tie their shoes the fastest!! This is truly FUNNY and the mom-to-be will absolutely love watching them. (Be careful though, all the laughing might put her into labor.)

Fastest Baby Bottle Drinker - This is a good one! You'll learn just how HARD it is to drink out of a baby bottle!! Fabulous co-ed shower idea ~ Fun for daddy's to do this.
Have a few baby bottles filled with something ready to drink. Start a timer...the person who is done drinking first is the winner!!! (Please note it is more difficult to drink out of a baby bottle then you think, so the smaller baby bottles are best to use.)

Dirty Diaper Game – This can be played a couple of ways.
Option 1. You'll need (5) cloth diapers or disposable diapers and some miniature candy bars (5 different flavors). Put a different mini candy bar in each diaper and slightly microwave them (be sure you keep track of which is which)! Pass the diapers around to see IF they can figure out what candy bar is in each diaper. This is a RIOT!!! Your guests will laugh the entire time! The person who guesses the most correctly WINS!
Option 2. You can make small individual diapers out of paper or fabric and put a small "stain" (chocolate, mustard, etc) in a winning diaper. As guests arrive give each person one to pin on their shirts. The guest who receives the "stained" diaper is the winner!

How BIG is the Mom-To-Be's Belly?
Pass around a roll of toilet paper or string to cut. Have your guests cut the length they think is the measurement of the Mommy's belly!! (Please note: make sure the Mom-to-be is OK with doing this before the game starts). The guest that is closest to her actual belly size is the WINNER!

Baby Picture Match
Have your guests each bring a baby picture of themselves. Pass around the baby pictures and see which guests can match the person at the shower with the baby picture ~ whoever selects the most correctly is the winner!!

Bottle "Baby" Game
Buy little bottles from the arts and crafts department. Put them on a ribbon or string. Tell your guests at the door when you give the bottle to them that if they say the word "BABY" at all during the shower, whoever catches them saying it "takes" their bottle necklace. Whoever has the most at the end of the shower is the winner.

"It Takes Two"
Have two people and/or couple stand side by side. For example: man on left - woman on right. Have man's right hand and woman’s left hand to assist each other in dressing a "baby DOLL". As tiny as some babies may be it's amazing how difficult it is to dress a baby without tossing it around. The guests were laughing on how the woman was trying to put the diaper on and the man was trying to put arm through the dress - I guess it goes back to original saying "It takes two"!

Guess the Baby Food
Have 10 (or any amount) baby food jars. Remove each label from the jars & number each jar lid 1-10. On a poster board tape the labels from the jars, have the guest try to match them with the right baby food. Just make sure you write the correct answer down so you can check them once everyone is done. This is really fun and a lot harder then you might think.

Guess how much is in the can & and the winner will get "ALL"!!
Decorate a can before the guests arrive. When the guests arrive, pass the can around and ask them to put some money in the can, as much as they want. At the end of the shower whoever guesses the closest amount will get "ALL"... When you get a winner, give him or her a bottle of "ALL detergent"!!! Guests will get a laugh from that one.

Dress the Baby Race
Blindfold 2 people, hand them a baby doll, doll clothes, a diaper, and powder. See who can dress the baby the fastest. Baby must have powder and ALL clothes on.

Pin the Pacifier on the Baby
Draw a big baby face on construction paper and make a bunch of pacifiers out of different colored paper. Have the guests stand about five feet away, blindfold them, spin them around three times and let them go. Whoever comes the closest to getting the pacifier in the baby’s mouth WINS.

Draw a Pregnant Lady Game
Each guest takes turns drawing with a marker on a piece of paper their version of a pregnant lady. The trick is…they cannot see what they are drawing because they have to hold the paper in their lap facing the rest of the guests. If you have a good group of people, it is hilarious and the mom-to-be can keep all they drawings for a scrapbook.

Draw the Baby Game
Each guest is given a white paper plate and a colored pencil, crayon, or marker. Have each guest hold the paper plate on top of their heads and draw a picture of the baby. Guests get a "big bang" out of each others pictures! Have each guest sign the back of their pictures and give them to the new mom as keepsakes!!

Toilet Paper Diaper
Ask a person to find a partner and take a roll of toilet paper and dress the other person up in a "toilet paper" diaper as neatly as possible using the entire roll. The team to get finished first is the winner.

Fun Baby Shower Idea
Ask each guest in the invitation to bring (as a extra gift) a pack of diapers or wipes and they will get a raffle ticket. At the end of the shower, have a drawing for a nice gift basket. The mom-to-be receives tons of diaper and wipes.

GUM Baby
Give each guest a stick of chewing gum when they arrive. Have them chew the gum and then make a baby the best way they can using the chewed up gum. Whoever makes the best looking baby WINS!
